Dear Member, RE: IT Workshop on "Copyright Laws Changes - A Practical Approach for the Profession" by IT Committee Singapore Institute of Architects By now, you must be aware of the new Copyright Law changes which will become effective on January 2005. The implication is that copyright infringement, whether through use of unauthorised or pirated software or underlicensing, will be punishable by criminal prosecution. During the last "Empowering The Profession" Seminar held on July 21st, we have indeed highlighted some of these IP-related issues. Due to the urgency of this issue, we have decided to hold a workshop to inform our members of the impending Copyright Law Changes and also to introduce some alternative cost-effective IT solutions on how you may comply with the Copyright Law Changes.
